In July 2014, during a trip to Amsterdam, Toe bought his first Clipper – still his favorite today. He was 18 years old and didn't think that such a common object with an obvious function could be the beginning of a strong passion.

I still remember the immense wall, all colorful with the innumerable collections of clippers ordered by row, to create a real mosaic of colors, almost comparable to a work of art. It was at that moment that he realized that one day he too would have such a wall, so gigantic but fascinating at the same time. He began to find as many clippers as possible: some purchased, some exchanged and some still given away. Over the years the collection grew more and more until in 2018, having no more revolving exhibitors and space, we created the first showcase of what is now "The Box Toe".
In 2022 there were two showcases and the collection had reached around 4,000 Clippers. In previous years, half joking and half daydreaming, we wondered about the possibility of creating a collection that one day would be printed on those lighters that had fascinated us for almost a decade. Perhaps for their unique and unmistakable shape, which allows you to immediately recognize the product; perhaps for its innumerable bright and lively colours; perhaps again for the millions of different graphics inspired by countless themes.
So it was that at the end of 2022 we began to create completely original graphics by Clipper.toe and authorized to use the Clipper brand. 64 graphics, 4 collections and a fantasy that was slowly turning into reality. In 2023 the dream came true. The Box Toe is online.
